Webcam Drivers... Zac
I was looking for this particular driver for AGES, and couldn't find it on the web. So, in light of that, I scrounged for ages through old boxes of things and found it.

The camera is a DSE generic cam, with the serial XH7768. This is the model...

It's nothing much but hey, if you need it, it's here.

Bought a book... Zac
Well, I bought a book today, and It has changed my perspective on games.

Its called "Game design Workshop" and its amazing. I have been following the exercises and it has opened up to me facets of gaming that are so powerful. It really does give you amazing insight into the very nature of games, and how to create successful games. I mean, I never understood that objectives, when combined with rules, at the very base, provide conflict!!

Case in point - Tetris.

Objective - Create a line of blocks to gain points and create more room for yourself.

Rule - Blocks are shaped differently, and only the right blocks fit the right holes. Time constraints.

Outcome - Not all blocks will fit the right holes. Need to strategise, and overcome the shape problems in the set time.

Wow. Amazingly simple, and conceptually solid as a rock!!

Interesting stuff.

Can you believe?? Zac
The website has actually been updated!!

My extensive knowledge of html has allowed me to add screenshots, change the projects page so it sits in the main window, AND add this new blog entry!!

Well, the blog entry didnt need html

And I dont have an extensive knowledge...

Anyway, Company has been revived by none other than the marvelous Timpuktu, one of the founding members of this effort in the first place!

He is a great guy so be nice.

Latest News Zac
Well, to be brutally honest, nothing has happened for a good while. This is MY fault, because I'm a lazy so and so. I'm looking to rectify that problem by putting myself on a Slow-@ctionİ scheme. I designed, named, and put into effect the Slow-@ctionİ scheme. SAS for short. In a nutshell, its just doing a little bit regularly laughing

If I do that, in about 10 years, you will see a working IMAGE of my new game, Nekah. Nah, hopefully, there will eb a lot sharper progress by yours truely.

I have begun modelling all the characters needed for the test demo of the game, and you will be pleased to hear that I have the entire demo planned out.

If you would like to help, email me at icsta-at-hotmail.com

Whats been happening? Zac
Hey guys, heres a roundup of all thats been happening in the last ages.

I have recently converted BACk to windows from Linux! Although I really wanted to keep using Linux and really enjoyed it, it just didn't cut cheese where I needed it. I.e., It didnt run DBpro smile Also, things werent always assured to be working when needed so a more..."stable"system was required - hence my purchasing XP Professional Upgrade!

Blender has gone to another 2.40alpha release and it runs very nicely as is. I will be looking to use this as often as possible in the 3d side of my game content creation, cause its free! I also found out how to unwrap and texture objects, so thats all full steam ahead there!

Our(Greenlight Dev) latest game idea is fermenting even more, and after 1 year of this fermentation process, is looking more and more viable. Although, we have also looking into a new avenue of development that will follow a completely different path to what was planned, ie, the story might be fundamentally different.

Well, I hope that has been worth reading, and please drop by and give us a hoy in the forums!

FINALLY!!! Zac
YES! I remembered my password! Believe me, that does significantly help the blogging process.

Wow, a lot to report in the year that there hasnt been posts. The game you all fondly know as Company, has been put on hold for some time. Bad planning was the problem there, and hopefully, when fixed, that should all change. In the meantime, we have moved on to another game idea, and you can read about it a bit in the forums. Think a Zelda64 type rpg with very weak leveling elements...sound pathetic? Yes, it may well now...

Also, the Greenlight Development intro video is up for your download pleasure. This is at <>
location.

Well, enter the forums, have a bit of your say, and please, enjoy yourself.

Monthly Update Zac
This month has seen a very quiet glightdev.com, but that doesnt man we werent working smile

Actarus has almost completed the first enemy model and I am looking forward to showing him off in a demo.
Also, some of the weapons have been updated by Zkat8it and are looking very spiffy!

Timpuktu also has created some new levels to go with the first demo, so be ready to be amazed at their beauty!

On the Coding front, not much has been visually updated, just a lot of behind the scenes tweaks for the demo.

There are some new screenshots
up also.

Stay safe and enjoy the new month!
